We were looking for an empty shell with a lot of natural light and in the city hub. East City Studios in Roeland Street was the perfect find!

Truth Coffee Roasting in all its steam punk flair proved to be a perfect dinner stop in the urban art landscape of Cape Town’s East City Precinct.

For the Awards ceremony & Gala dinner we looked for a parking garage or industrial space that wasn’t too far away from the hotel where out of town guests were staying. We found this amazing space at the Cape Town Cruise Terminal. It was previously used as a cold storing facility but Venturescapes had the rights to operate it as an event space. Again – we had the opportunity to convert it into something spectacular!

Skateboarders did their thing on arrival, whilst arrival canapé’s were served on trolleys. This vendor-like food service method was inspired by the mobile manner in which many South African street food is served.
